The new system will allow for shareable data. You can save the files and come back to them. Soon the iPad will also be sharing data with the same format and if you own both you will be able to retrieve the back and forth. The reason I’ve gone with this data structure is so when I do bring in live options data it will be easily accessible each system with nearly no changes.

--Scott.

At this point I might just pull 1.0 and put 1.1 up.

I’m just a few bugs shy of having the Core Data as the data engine for the Mac version. Since its clear I’m going to miss the opening by at least a week, I’m thinking I might just pull the 1.0 binary and put up 1.1. Not much changed feature wise but the entire underlying data structure is changed and it will allow for some new features down the road including saving portfolios to a file that are shareable across all the platforms. I’ll know tomorrow, if I finish up 1.1 and 1.0 isn’t “In Review” or better than I will be replacing it which will delay things 1 more week.

--Scott.

The reason your all waiting for the Mac version of Optionsinsight is because of a name issue. I had originally wanted to call it “OptionsinsightMac”. It got rejected and I was told my name was invalid and they even sent me a link with the same trademark info I’m listing below.

http://www.apple.com/legal/trademark/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html

c. “Mac” is used in combination with another non-generic word.
Acceptable: MacVenus MacCharlie
Not acceptable: MacCharleston MacSales

1.	You may use “Mac” in your product name, company name, trade name, or service name provided your name satisfies the following criteria:
As everyone probably knows I’m not an english pro, but man this really hurts. I would have never even tried to name my App with the word Mac in it if I wasn’t positive about what I was reading. Anyhow I begged to hopefully be expedited, we’ll see. Thanks again for choosing Optionsinsight.com.

--Scott.

It seems that we might have to be patient while Apple gets their ducks in order. It seems they many have gotten more submissions than they anticipated. In the long run I guess thats good news, too bad though would have been nice to be on the store the first day.

--Scott.
